Episode 3.15 – Feb. 4, 2013
Hookman
Five-0 investigates when a mysterious man targets select police officers for revenge and McGarrett is the next one his hit list.
Here you go; the last 4 episodes for your consideration. The actual poll for season 2 will be activated on Friday.
Credits for the pictures to CBS and as credited on the pictures. Again a big thank you to www.mycoven.com for her incredible work on the screen shots. If there is no credit on the pic, it’s my own screen shot.
Season 2 – Episode 20 – April 9, 2012
Ha’alele
Max reveals shocking information about his childhood to help the team track a serial killer who may have ties to Max’s past.
Season 2 – Episode 21 – April 30, 2012
Pa Make Loa
Danny and Chin Ho partner with NCIS agents Sam Hanna and G. Callen to track down a suspect who’s threatening to release a deadly virus on the population.
This is the first part of the crossover with NCIS:LA which aired the next day.
Season 2 – Episode 22 – May 7, 2012
Ua Hopu
McGarrett finally gets his hands on Wo Fat in a special ops raid he has coordinated with Interpol in Osaka. Their flight back ends in a plane crash on Oahu and he and Wo Fat find themselves on the run from the Japanese Yakuza who have the order to kill Wo Fat.
Meanwhile the team investigates the death of a CIA agent that is related to Wo Fat. They have to hurry to save Steve and Wo Fat from the wrath of the Yakuza, and Kono from Adam Noshimuri.
Things get really complicated when Danny is kidnapped by the CIA.
I’m pretty sure we all remember this episode very vividly without any reminders necessary. 😉
If you also thought that Steve got away too easy from that plane crash you might like to read this little story:
Season 2 – Episode 23 – May 14, 2012
Ua Hala
Five-0 needs the help of an imprisoned dirty cop to track down a suspect who killed captain Fryer and set off a bomb at HPD headquarters. Meanwhile, Joe White returns and promises to reveal the identity of Shelburne to Steve.
Lots of people are getting shot in this episode, from Fryer over Steve who takes three slugs to the vest while saving Chin, to innocent bystanders. This was probably the episode with the most direct action. The first 30 minutes were just one roller coaster ride from one crime scene to the next. And then the real part of the episode started. The season’s cliffhanger.
Here you go; the next 4 episodes for your consideration.
Credits for the pictures to CBS and as credited on the pics. Again big thanks has to go to http://www.mycoven.com for her great work on the screenshots. If there is no credit on the picture, it’s my own screen shot.
Season 2 – Episode 16 – Feb. 13, 2012
I Helu Pu
A woman is murdered during the Governor’s fund raising dinner. Five-0 steps in to investigate and get in trouble with the Governor when the team goes too far trying to catch the killer.
Who doesn’t remember this Valentine’s episode? Or the team at the ball, dressed up, and Danny and Steve bickering over Season’s tickets? Or you might remember Steve going over the edge or getting hit by a car. I guess most of all will remember that this was good bye for Lori. And of course we saw Cath again.
If you want to know how their trip to the Enterprise went you might like to read this. Click on image to go to the story.
And if you were bothered by Lori at the hospital instead of Danny, you can find an explanation for that right here:
Season 2 – Episode 17 – Feb. 20, 2012
Kupale
Five-0 investigates the murder of a shipping businessman who was supposed to be participating in a historical Hawaiian battle reenactment.
I guess we all remember hundred half naked men running around and battle each other? And I’m sure we also remember Steve smoking the suspect out of his house.
Season 2 – Episode 18 – Feb. 27, 2012
Lekio
A retired New York police officer helps the team figure out who killed one of his close friends, a pirate radio disc jockey.
Season 2 – Episode 19 – March 19, 2012
Kalele
While Steve’s sister Mary is back in town, with yet another new job, and accidentally gets caught in the middle of a plot to smuggle conflict diamonds, Five-0 and Fryer get the help of an elderly ex-con recently released from prison to find the smugglers.
Ed Asner guest stars and picks up his role from 40 years ago, when he last appeared on H50. And the team tries to surprise Steve for his birthday. And obviously Steve managed to convince Danny to go surfing with him.
This is the last episode with AOL until he appears again in episode 22. He missed all in all four episodes. He was not in 20, 21, the crossover with NCIS:LA, and the one episode that was completely cancelled. The season was supposed to have 24 instead of the 23 episodes it ended up with.
Here you go; the next 5 episodes for your consideration.
If not otherwise credited on the picture I did the screen shot. Thanks again mycoven.com for a fantastic job on the screen shots. You should head over to there; the pics for 3.20 are up.
Season 2 – Episode 11 – December 5, 2011
Pahele
Joe White has to appear in front of a board of inquiry to defend his actions as an active member of the Navy in North Korea.
Meanwhile a busload of school children is kidnapped. Soon Five-0 learns that they are held hostage because of their big drug bust a few days ago. The kidnappers want to pressure the Governor into giving back their drugs, confiscated by Five-0.
To make matters more complicated Joe White gets in trouble with a kidnapping of his own.
Season 2 – Episode 12 – December 12, 2011
AlaheoPau’ole
The team gets ready for Chin Ho’s wedding, but their preparations are interrupted by the investigation into a man left for dead in an old WW2 bunker. They team up with Captain Fryer who is searching for the killer of a young woman and it seems their cases are connected. Steve starts to suspect Joe keeping things from him and lying about his knowledge of Shelburne.
Season 2 – Episode 13 – January 2, 2012
Ka Ho’ Oponopono
While Five-0 tries to figure out who smothered a high school girl in her bed, the Yakuza targets Joe because they believe he killed their leader.
In this episode we get Ninja-Steve, and for the first time he acknowledges that he was tortured in North Korea. I was hoping we would see more of his coping with that, but I guess that would have taken too much time out of a 44 minute episode. Time restriction is always a big issue with every TV-show. Which is often a shame.
I think this is the episode that even the last person realized that something was terribly wrong with Alex O’Loughlin. It was very obvious that he was really sick. It’s a tragedy that he had to keep going for many more weeks until he could finally take a break. Thank God he came out of that time healthy and happy. I debated to address this or not, but I must admit watching these episodes again, it was a real shock. AOL looks very different now, not just healthy, but really happy, and seeing the episodes from season two does make me sad. Knowing the struggle, the pain from the injury and the illness behind those scenes takes the carefree joy out of the season.
Season 2 – Episode 14 – January 16, 2012
Ka Ho’ Oponopono
Five-0 investigates the hijacking of a delivery truck in which the driver is killed, and Danny’s ex-wife goes into labor. Danny spends most of the episode next to Rachel, while Steve and the Yakuza put pressure on Joe to come clean with what happened to Hiro Noshimuri.
I guess we all remember Kamekona’s ‘Five-0, Five-0, what you gonna do, when they come for you’. Bad Boys indeed.
Season 2 – Episode 15 – February 6, 2012
Mai Ka Wa Kahiko
An enemy from Danny’s past comes to the islands for revenge, and the life of Danny’s daughter could hang in the balance.
Here you go; the next 6 episodes for your consideration.
Most of the screenshots I did myself; otherwise as credited as on the pictures. Special thanks to mycoven.com for providing such great shots.
Season 2 – Episode 5 – October 17, 2011
Ma’eme’e
The University of Hawaii women’s volleyball coach is killed, and Five-0’s investigation leads back to the disgraced ex-cop that Kono now works for.
Maybe you remember this one best for the great cargument about life in Hawaii with all its expenses. And that Danny might lose his apartment soon.
Or maybe for the Chin and Malia storyline, if you can call their short date a storyline.
Some of you might mostly remember it because of Kono’s storyline that comes to an end in this one. I really liked the scenes in the ‘blue room’ but thought it ridiculous that the head of the task force had not been informed about the undercover op. I mean, even the fans ‘knew’ about it. Or is there even one fan out there who didn’t know she was working undercover?
I didn’t want to give an opinion on the episodes, but on this I can’t resist. Simply because I think they could have done so much better with this whole Kono thing. For me that was simply illogical and the whole mess didn’t make much sense. No bad guy with half a brain would have fallen for her story. But that is just my opinion, and I’m biased because I’m not a fan of Kono.
I would love to hear your thoughts about this ep. If you have a minute, please leave a comment.
Season 2 – Episode 6 – October 24, 2011
Ka Hakaka Maika’i
While Five-0 tries to figure out who killed a well-known Honolulu businessman, Joe gets an unwelcome visitor while trying to search for answers about the video.
Do I need to say more than MMA episode?
Season 2 – Episode 7 – October 31, 2011
Ka Iwi Kapu
Two ghost-hunting filmmakers are killed at a historic traditional burial site, and when the team discovers more dead bodies at the site, they suspect they could be after a serial killer.
Who doesn’t remember Danny acting like a total jerk? I don’t know why he was written this way, but his disrespect was disturbing. To say the least.
Season 2 – Episode 8 – November 7, 2011
Lapa’au
When an ICE agent is killed, Five-0 must find out which smuggling ring she was investigating in order to find her killer.
I guess everyone remembers the ‘dog’ riding shotgun, and the boys watching ‘Enemy Mine’? 🙂
Season 2 – Episode 9 – November 14, 2011
Ike Maka
Five-0 tries to uncover the identity of a man who recently had plastic surgery but was found dead in the trunk of a stolen muscle car; which will hopefully lead them to his killer.
So, Danny is living with Steve for a couple of weeks now, and the boys are driving each other nuts. Well, what did you expect? LOL
While Five-0 investigates the death of a reporter, Jenna returns to ask McGarrett for help finding her fiancé in North Korea. Steve discovers too late that she had been working for Wo Fat for some time and was just luring him to North Korea to exchange him for her fiancé. It is up to Joe White to organize the rescue mission into enemy territory to rescue Steve with the help of his friends and members of a SEAL team.
Now that we are done with season 1 (Have you voted yet? If not use the menu to go to the voting page.) we can go on to season 2.
Here are the next four episodes to consider for our poll for season 2.
Season 2 – Episode 1 – September 19, 2011
Ha’i’ole
McGarrett escapes from Halawa prison and sets out to get Wo Fat. His disbanded Five-0 team and a man who trained him are more than willing to help.
Who doesn’t remember the fight with Victor, and Steve jumping out of the ambulance? And how his escape ended on the bathroom floor of their ME Max Bergman, passed out from blood loss? Or maybe you remember the absolute great cargument in Max’s Warp 9. Whatever the case, this was one hell of an episode.
Season 2 – Episode 2 – September 26, 2011
Ua Lawe Wale
The governor appoints a new member to the Five-0 team, while they are trying to find a kidnapped 15-year old girl. Meanwhile, Kono is under investigation by Internal Affairs.
Who doesn’t remember Lori? Or Steve and Danny on horses?

Season 2 – Episode 3 – October 3, 2011
Kame’e
As a favor for his former CO Joe White, Steve asks Max to reopen a case on an apparent suicide. A SEAL had killed himself and Joe doesn’t believe that to be true. As it turn out he was right. More members of a certain SEAL team turn up dead. In the subplot of the episode Kono contemplates a job offer from the underworld.
So, any idea what operation Strawberry Fields was? Maybe we will learn about it in 3×20; but I’m not holding my breath.
Season 2 – Episode 4 – October 10, 2011
Mea Makamae
The team discovers that a dead salvage diver was looking for more than sunken treasures. Chin Hi discovers that Kono accessed his HPD account, and McGarrett seeks the help of Catherine Rollins to figure out what’s delaying the DOD findings about his father.
Most of the screen shots I did myself, otherwise it’s noted on the pictures. Thanks to CBS for the promo pics.
Here are the next five episodes to consider for our poll.
The actual poll will be posted later today and will be open until we start the final round of the favorite episodes from all seasons.
Season 1 – Episode 20 – April 11, 2011
Ma Ke Kahakai
The team investigates the death of a commercial fisherman whose body was found in an unexpected place, while the imminent death of Chin Ho’s aunt could reveal surprising new details about the stolen drug money.
I doubt that this episode is remembered because of the crime of the week. 😉 I will bet good money that most remember it for Steve and Danny going hiking, with Steve ending up with a boulder to his head and falling down the cliff. Breaking his arm in the process and getting some nasty abrasions. Kudos to the make-up department for that. They looked pretty good.
Season 1 – Episode 21 – April 18, 2011
Ho’opa’i
Five-0 turns up the heat on a crime boss after the safe house of an undercover police officer who infiltrated his organization is compromised and his wife is killed.
Well, there was a lot of hype about P Diddy guest staring. I think he was rather boring and I gladly could go by without those supposedly great guest stars. But of course that is just my opinion.
You might remember this one for Kamekona trying to cook breakfast for Steve for a whole week.
Season 1 – Episode 22 – May 2, 2011
Ho’ohuliNa’au
While investigating the murder of a professional photographer, Five-0 discovers a connection to a local bookie. Meanwhile, Chin Ho covers for his uncle and claims that he has stolen the drug money.
The cast is off and Steve is enjoying a run up a trail. And we can enjoy the scenery. 😉
Season 1 – Episode 23 – May 9, 2011
Ua Hiki Mai Kapalena Pau
Danny is exposed to sarin while Five-0 tries to track down Wo Fat, and Chin Ho’s plan to quietly return the money his uncle stole gets busted when IA finds out about it.
Uncle Steve makes an appearance, and we learn that Danny has an affair with a married woman. Has for a few weeks actually.
Season 1 – Episode 24 – May 16, 2011
Oia’I’o
After one of Governor Jameson’s assistants is killed, McGarrett discovers that the governor may have been working with Wo Fat and may have been the target of his father’s investigation. Things get complicated when Steve is framed for Laura Hills’ murder.
Here are the next five episodes to consider for our poll.
Season 1 – Episode 15 – Jan. 23, 2011
Kai e’e
The island’s leading tsunami expert is kidnapped on the same day that ocean reports indicate that a huge tsunami is headed to Hawaii. However, Five-0 soon suspects that the report is a hoax and is related to the kidnapping.
This was the episode with the most viewers so far. Over 19 Million. Of course that was due to the fact it aired on a special day on Sunday after football.
Most people will probably remember this episode for the ‘not-missing’ 10 Million Dollars from the HPD locker. And Danny was getting surfing lessons. And of course Catherine was back.
Season 1 – Episode 16 – Feb. 7, 2011
E Malama
McGarrett and Chin Ho try to rescue and protect a federal witness on the run from assassins, while Danny tries to get to the bottom of his daughter and ex-wife’s carjacking.
In this episode we have Chin and Steve building a team, with Kono staying back at the courthouse, and Danny solving a problem of his own.
Season 1 – Episode 17 – Feb. 14, 2011
Powa Maka Moana
Five-0 searches for a group of Spring Breakers who are being held for ransom by a group of pirates.
This is the one where Danny and Steve push the Marquis up the Pali Highway, and Danny is NOT thrilled about it. And he is even less impressed with Steve’s methods to open a door. 🙂
Season 1 – Episode 18 – Feb. 21, 2011
Loa Aloha
While Five-0 races to stop a mad bomber before he kills again, Danny gets an unexpected visit from his little brother, Matt, a fun-loving, Wall Street broker. The family reunion is cut short, however, when Danny discovers the real reason that Matt is in Hawaii.
I’m still waiting for brother Matt coming back, or at least hear about his fate. But nothing so far. Not even a mention in passing.
Season 1 – Episode 19 – March. 21, 2011
Ne Me’e Laua Na Paio
A costumed comics convention superhero fell to his death, pushed from his hotel balcony, but only as the victim of a drunken rooms mix-up. The team must work out how a ransacked room, no robbery, compromising pictures and adultery fit together. Steve rightly mistrusts a self-styled CIA-agent, works out she’s a mere analyst and not even assigned, but decides to collaborate as she has indications his father’s killer may have worked for Yakuza boss Wo Fat. Danny grumpily started dieting for his worried brat’s sake.
And not to forget Johnny, the most stupid, but lovable baddie ever.
Here are the rules again:
After we are done with one season I will post the poll for that season.
In the poll you can choose up to 8 episodes.
When you’ve picked 8 episodes for each season we will have a full set of 24 episodes to choose from in our final poll.
At the end you can then name 5 episodes out of those 24 elected.
Most of the screen captures I did myself, a few are from AOLRocks. Promo pics from CBS or as on the pics indicated.

And now, here are the next episodes.
Season 1 – Episode 05 – Oct. 18, 2010
Nalowale
One daughter of the U.S. ambassador to the Philippines is killed and another daughter is missing. Governor Jameson, a personal friend of the ambassador, asks Five-0 to investigate.
You might remember this episode as the Pac Man episode, or as I prefer to it as the one with Steve and Cath waking up in bed. And of course ending up on the beach. There are also great Danny and Steve scenes in this one. Poor Danny has to use a cane and gets sidelined for a bit. And we meet MAX.
Season 1 – Episode 06 – Oct. 25, 2010
Ko’olauloa
When the CEO of a hugely successful surf company is murdered, Kono revisits her past while Five-0 is thrown headlong into the varied but interconnected worlds of North Shore surfing.
This is the episode that introduces us to ‘island time’ and ‘Kawika’. We learn that Danny is not scared, but rationally concerned, and that Chin and Steve enjoy riding a bike. And we also learn that Steve likes to shoot Danny, if he dares to ask him one more time about his ‘strategic ops’. 🙂
Season 1 – Episode 07 – Nov. 1, 2010
Ho’apono
McGarrett places himself in the middle of a hostage situation on the USS Missouri. The hostage-taker is a Navy SEAL suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, who is the prime suspect in the murder of his wife.
We learn quite a lot about Steve through their suspect. And we can watch Five-0 working as a team even when apart. And Aquaman makes his first appearance. And of course not to forget Danny stringing words together in the hope they make sense. 🙂
Season 1 – Episode 08 – Nov. 8, 2010
Mana’o
Danny’s ex-partner from the Honolulu P.D., is found in a luau barbecue pit. Danny demands the team must take his word the man was incorruptible, although evidence piles up he was involved in corruption surrounding the Mexican Ochoa cocaine cartel. Internal affairs Sergeant Cage, who wrecked Chin’s reputation, is on the case but fails to shield it as HPD Detective Ahuna discretely joins the Five-O investigation. The deeper they dig, the dirtier everyone looks. Jailed drug dealer Sang Min holds a trump card, so Danny bids on it.
Season 1 – Episode 09 – Nov. 15, 2010
Po’ipu
Five-0 is assigned to help stop an assassination plot against a despicable foreign leader, with the help of one of McGarrett’s old SEAL buddies.
Massive gun fights, massive hand-to-hand combat, explosions, Steve’s house under siege. Do I even need to say anything else?
And let’s not forget one of the best carguments about Jersey, Hawaii and Jon Bon Jovi. AND Danny admitting “You’re good.”
