Let’s pic(k) Steve!

Episode 9.20

I loved the Steve/Duke/John storyline. Duke’s the last man standing who knew Steve’s Dad and it is wonderful that Duke shared his memories about Steve’s father and vice versa. Dennis Chun and Alex are amazing together (and on their own too, of course) and I would love to get more McDuke!

The transitions from Steve to Stevie and back where very well done! Kudos!

9.22 Press Release

“O ke kumu, o ka māna, ho‘opuka ‘ia” – While Adam investigates the murder of an undercover FBI agent about to wed the daughter of a Yakuza leader, Noelani is held hostage and forced, along with her mentor Dr. Chu (Page Leong), to operate at gunpoint on a criminal, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, April 26 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“O ke kumu, o ka māna, ho‘opuka ‘ia” is Hawaiian for “The Teacher, the Pupil – Let it come forth”)

OK, again, what is Adam’s qualification to be a Special Task Force member? None needed? Got it. Now he is investigating a murder? OK, I give up on any kind of logic.

Episode 9.18

It’s nice to see a fun and carefree Steve once in a while. And Alex’s various Alexpressions have been extra excellent in this episode. His V.o.E. are still in full force. The play is in him, not in the words! That’s acting.

This episode made it extra hard to pick a pic. I snapped so many different Alexpressions. Here are a few. Enjoy! ~leiCa

Episode 9.17

I really liked 9.17. Kurt Jones and Alex O’Loughlin always do something different with the show. Different angles, different perspectives. And I always liked these time jumps, one reason 2.16 is still one of my favorites. Alex is doing so well in front AND behind the camera with the action, the drama and the emotions. Very well done this time too! His spirit of “Do Less More” does the actors good.

And how awesome was the ‘bullet scene’?

Now have fun, it’s shorter this time, but we didn’t have that much of Steve.

Fact or Fiction?

Downtown01

OK, guys, let’s have a discussion about how accurate a TV show has to be. Let’s not just talk about Five-0, I only use it as a stand-in. Talk about any show you like.

What started this discussion was the wrong naming of two buildings frequently used on the show. Five-0 Headquarters is not located at the Palace, as they have more than once said. But on the other hand no police force, special or not, is located in the building they use as HQ. And even worse 😉 there is no such thing as a Governor’s Task Force. So, does have the show an obligation to use the right names for their fictional HQ? And if they don’t do that, does it bother you?
