Let’s pic(k) Steve!

Episode 8.13

Short and quick pic(k) of this episode.

Important topic show picked out as a central theme here. Trust me, I know, but I found it a bit boring. I think the writers got lost and, although I love Grover, I think we’ve got enough of Lou’s background stories.

A question: I know the actors get paid per episode, but does anyone know if they get paid per minutes/seconds they appear on screen? leiCa

The one time I wish I could do some math. Shoulder – Hip ratio anyone? Just if I am devoting myself to sculpture one day…

8.12 Review

Three Hits and a Miss in 8.12…
By Cokie and a few additional thoughts by Sam

This “review” has no pictures. Sorry. We’ll be back to “normal” soon. Here we go…

Now, I’m sure you all can see that there are more than three things I liked and one thing I didn’t on this episode, but that was the working title and it just stuck.

I liked this episode.  Sure, it had things I did not like, but it kept my interest and I was so glad to see a new episode. I had been going through Steve-drawal. It’s like withdrawal but with Steve. It’s a word. If you look in the dictionary, his picture is right next to the word. Only he has more hair. I’m also having Steve-hair-drawal.

LOL, yeah, I also miss the hair. OK, I will say something shallow and people will tell me it’s not my, but his business, but here it goes. Sorry, but he looks not good with this haircut. He looks tired and way older than he is. Hair, or in this case, no hair does make a difference. Steve, or Alex for that matter, with hair is something I prefer over what we get at the moment. And I am sorry, I really do like Alex, but I don’t like his looks at the moment. Now, take your best shot at me. 😉

Oh, and one more thing, the excuse “I was glad to have a new episode on my TV” or “Glad to see Steve again” is long overused and doesn’t count any longer. It’s just not enough to see a certain character, or not see another. Sorry, it’s just not.

“He pūkoʻa kani ʻāina” – McGarrett and Danny investigate the murder of a private detective whose client was killed the same way, and Adam sends Jessie (Christine Ko) into a dangerous situation with disastrous consequences. Also, Danny’s uncle, Vito (Vincent Pastore), comes to town to help Danny and McGarrett get their restaurant up and running, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Feb. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“He pūkoʻa kani ʻāina” is Hawaiian for “A Coral Reef Strengthens Out into Land”)

I am really, REALLY not interested in meeting any more of Danny’s relatives. Really. Seriously. This whole restaurant business is such a waste in my eyes. Just ugh.

Episode 8.12

I liked this episode. Really, I did. Large and in charge Steve, standing up for his folks Steve and emotional Steve. Oh boy.

I know it is totally stupid for Adam to lead anything law-related, and I don’t want to become this thing a big topic and take away from the show but at least Adam is a little bit less boooooring.

Alex rocked the scene at the morgue, every scene with the FBI guys and esp. the scene at the end. Sniffle. You’ll see. Let the fun begin. leiCa

He is too cute for words. Oh wait – wrong pic. This post’s not called Eddieting.

Let’s pic(k) Steve!

Episodes 8.10 + 8.11

I didn’t have much time ‘between the years’ and I couldn’t really force myself to watch 8.11 again completely so here we go with a double feature of Let’s pic(k) Steve. I felt sorry for the Vets in the last episode, they deserved better. Actually their acting was pretty impressive, I liked it. The case wasn’t that bad either and I liked Santa McG. I didn’t like the superannoying rest. And now I will shut my mouth. My Christmas tree is still sparkling. Peace. leiCa

Bought a north sea shrimps salad. And now toothbrush heads, printer’s ink, iPhones and razor blades are bloody cheap.

8.10 Review

I ka wa mua, I ka wa ma hope.” When Danny is shot while quarantined in the hospital with McGarrett, Tani and Junior, he’s left unconscious and clinging to life, imagining a future for everyone in Five-0.

Well, then. Sorry guys, you will have to deal with me attempting another review. Sam’s computer/internet issues remain unresolved at present and I can’t begin to tell you that I am going into withdrawal! Thankfully, we can still use WhatsApp or I would probably be more insane than I am.

This won’t be a normal review. Since storytelling seems to be the way to go these days, we will bring you a Christmas story, told in part by our Ghost-of-Christmas-Past-Present-and-Future. I hope you enjoy the tale.

Now, this is all tongue in cheek and downright silly. Please, if you take offense at poking fun at certain individuals, this story isn’t for you. I warn you, if this is you, just turn back now. We won’t hold it against you…

Still here? OK, let’s begin. Cokie

I hope it is clear as a day that the voice over – uhm – voice is no one other than AOL himself. Saying that, I’m angry at myself that we did not include the word ‘tremendously’. Well, you all know my addiction to this word. Now I hope you enjoy Cokie’s and my joint venture tremendously. And if you can’t enjoy it tremendously, just leave with a ladylike contenance. Oh, and Alex: Can you please voice over the introduction too? Even if it’s not italian, there are the words tremendously  (4 times now) and contenance in it. Thank you. leiCa
