Alex O’Loughlin appreciation post.

I was blown away by the last scenes of this episode. That was stellar acting by Kimee Balmilero and Alex O’Loughlin. This is what you get when you don’t catch the actors acting. Real acting is impossible to spot. And then it makes you feel something.

Steve has been through so much, suffered so much, almost his whole life consisting of pain, loss and struggle. And yet he remains such a warmhearted, empathic, giving, altruistic human. He is there for all the people who are in need of a shoulder to lean on.

And we buy it. We KNOW that Steve is this Steve, we KNOW that he is this remarkable man because of AOL. I can’t repeat it often enough. It’s not in the words, it’s in the play. Being emotional is not acting – but expressing emotions is. Alexpressions.

Not a real Let’s pic(k) Steve this time. But I need a time out and my motivation coming back. Enjoy the pics of an actor who makes you forget he’s acting, who is able to create a relationship with the audience.

  1. I totally agree 💯 percent !! It’s obvious Alex learned a lot about nuances of acting from his mentor Jack Thompson. (Best known in Man From Snowy River). There isn’t a Alexpression I do not love ❤️ 🤙🏻

  2. That face !! I can gaze endlessly at every detail of the first photo, and never grown tired of it. Thank you so much. Alex and Kimee were great
    in this scene. What would I give to be cuddled like that by Alex. Sigh,……..pure heaven.

  3. I totally agree with your every word….spot on and well said. Alex is such an underrated actor. I would watch him in anything and not only because he’s so easy to look at. Love him for so many reasons…
