Also, Grover, Tani and Junior work a 25-year-old murder case after a mysterious Betamax tape arrives at 5-0 headquarters, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, April 20 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“Ahuwale ka nane hūnā” is Hawaiian for “The Answer to the Riddle is Seen”)

I’m really looking forward to see Harry again. I like him! And I love the understanding Steve and Harry have for each other. Very cool team.

  2. Happy Easter! Up super early preparing for invited guests (and some uninvited). Then I am off to Church with the firm resolve to conduct myself like a mature adult. Let’s see how that goes.

    Question: Is Handsome Harry getting his own arc in S9 (hopefully H50 is renewed) or is he Danny’s replacement? There could be some clues in this episode. We may have the new McHarry. Shall I light a candle?

      2. If we get another season of Danny Williams because you blew out our candles, we will hold you personally responsible for the worldwide shortage of Tums and the inevitable price gouging because of scarcity. Friday night will be even more unbearable with nothing to neutralize acidic Danny.

      3. Think positive thoughts. Maybe “Mr. I really don’t want to be here” will negotiate himself into a reoccurring status and be on even less than now. That way the McDannos can’t riot because it will be their boy’s choice. I like Harry but I don’t know if I want him on the team. I enjoy his guest appearances.

      4. Mama, we‘ll relight those candles right away.
        McHarry are mature, fun, share a similar background. They simply get each other and have great chemistry. These two would make for awesome work partners.

      6. I’d ship McGodzilla before McDanno. Godzilla only knocks down buildings because he is trying to survive but Danny tries to crush Steve’s spirit because it makes him feel good.

        Danny has no moral compass. He is an unethical SOB.

        A lot of ppl simply don’t care about him anymore, too many nasty moments in the past (sorry, the “oh it’s his way of showing he’s worried and he cares” just doesn’t cut it anymore!!), his storylines are few and mostly boring, catering the SC’s limited time in Hawaii.
        Give him his freedom and have TeamMcHarry go to work – two adults who have a huge amount of respect for each other’s work and still manage to have fun.

      8. But I like McGrover. What would happen to that relationship? I don’t want to see Lou stuck overseeing the “kids” all the time. Just my gut reaction, no offense to anyone.

      9. None taken! McGrover is great but their scenes are also limited. Lou is not an action guy. There’d still be plenty of opportunity for these two but Harry would add more dynamic. But I’m with you, the use of Lou in S8 hadn’t been the best and I’m inclined to say I’ve also had my share of Chicago stories. Chi is a fantastic actor, his on-screen chemistry with AOL is a joy to watch.

        Some of us are simply fantasizing about HH instead of D. One can dream, right? 🙂

      10. Nothing will happen to McGrover. He will always be the voice of reason and experience. He was a S.W.A.T commander, great behind a gun and giving tactical advice to the team. He has a special bond with Steve because of PTSD, which the writers have chosen to ignore. He will just not jump off roofs or drive like an Indy racer on public streets.

        Grover is McGarrett’s grownup friend. Harry is more like what Danny was originally supposed to be but never shown us because the writers chose to go “bromantic” and made him into a Dannoying fool instead.

      11. Danny doesn’t like jumping off roofs either. As much as I like Harry, I am not convinced he would like to play beta to Steve’s alpha for very long. He is accustomed to going it alone. Thus I like him popping up every so often. Just my feelings. Oh…..Danny can still take a slow boat back to Jersey as far as I am concerned.

      12. About Danny: How many times can you scream “No! He is OOC! Our D would never do that?” before you realize that maybe, just maybe, being constantly OOC could mean that the character actually is IN character!

      15. We don’t need any replacement for Danny. If it comes to McDannihilation there’s Junior for the action. No one else’s needed. Steve’s the alpha. Harry is the lone ranger. Once in a while he can come to 5-0 for help. That’s ok. More doesn’t work for me.

    It’s looking like the last few episodes of the season are going to be pretty awesome!

    This looks like a stupide episode. Why dose Steve, Harry and Danny have the stupid story line and Grover, Tani and Junior get the meaty story line about a murder case. I loved Harry in his first ever episode on Five 0 when he had a proper story line now he is there just to have a laugh with Steve and Danny.

  7. I like Harry so I am looking forward to this episode. I will reserve judgment on the story until I see it. CBS is taking its sweet time in confirming renewals so I refuse to get my hopes up. They have burned me before.
