Hmmm…I’m a little disappointed. It sounds like LDP is gonna be the baddie. I was hoping he’d be a good guy.
But we’ll see. Maybe it’ll be awesome. 😉

I think this is the episode where we learn that Steve has no drivers’ licence. That alone is ridiculous. Just thinking about such stupid idea makes me mad. I highly doubt this episode will fall into the awesome category. But maybe I will be wrong.

No valid driver’s license? Is his pilot’s license up to date? In the world of McG that’s no problem. But can he still parallel park? That is the real question. Actually, it might be fun seeing him practice for the test. It could make the whole episode worthwhile.

Yes, that might be true that it might make it worthwhile. But the idea that he would forget such an important thing is simply ridiculous. And the short scene that PL already posted with Danny ratting him out made my blood boil.
And by the way, knowingly letting someone without a drivers’ license driving the car is a crime. I hope Danny gets punished for it, now that would be fun.

Sadly, the whole interaction between McG and Danno has been written as slapstick comedy instead of as it should be, partners who need to respect each other in order to stay alive during dangerous ops. It takes professionalism out of the equation and replaces it with unrealistic bickering in an attempt to be cute. Following orders, especially the orders of your superior, is the priority which keeps everyone safe. Danny’s writers don’t get this. There is a small vocal segment of the fandom who thinks this is wonderful and keep pushing for more of this agita inducing nonsense. Not me. The bromance is dead. (I am also not a fan of Steve’s table manners but that’s another story.)
But although I have suspended all belief when watching, it doesn’t mean I don’t notice the “silly”. It only means I have chosen to ignore it so I can enjoy everything else. And there is a lot for all of us to enjoy.
But I would giggle if Danny got prosecuted all the way back to Jersey. Giggle and Cheer.!

It is no wonder that I love McGrover than McDanno. They are true friends. Really McGarrett with no valid driver’s license. I mean that is why he is driving recklessly without getting pulled over himself. LDP hopefully will not be a bad guy. But IMHO I smell a spin off in the works for him.
